The school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti paying tribute to the great legend,Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our Nation.
Mahatma Gandhi always gave special emphasis on Cleanliness. So,the main event of the day was the Cleanliness Drive at Uliyath Kadavu park,the historical land that got interwoven with Gandhiji’s Salt Satyagraha during Indian Freedom Struggle. The drive was inaugurated by Mrs.K,V.LALITHA ,Honourable Chairperson, Payyanur Municipality. Selected students and teachers took part in the drive following Covid 19 protocols.Mrs. Ajitha .P.M (Teacher)coordinated the Drive. Mr.T.P.Suresh Poduval , Principal and Mr.Kakkulath Adul Khader(Treasurer, ISD) , Vice Principal and non-teaching staff were also present on the occasion.
Relevant virtual programmes were also held under the coordination of the class teachers. Many students impersonated Gandhiji, identifying his simple life style.Further, students presented Gandhi poems depicting the great life of Mahatma in verse.
Informative Posters, digital presentations , speeches , art and craft etc were also presented on the life of Gandhiji . Additionally, Students were directed to go through Gandhiji’s autobiography ‘My Experiments with Truth’ and present their reviews.In short, the Celebration could make the students understand the significance of Gandhian Principles in this world.
